On behalf of Rector of Universitas Indonesia, we are pleased to announce that International Workshop on UI Greenmetric will be held by Universitas Indonesia on April 21st 2016.
The UI GreenMetric World University Ranking is an initiative of Universitas Indonesia which is being launched in 2010. The aim of the ranking is to provide the result of online survey regarding the current condition and policies related to Green Campus and Sustainability in the Universities all over the world. It is expected that by drawing the attention of university leaders and stakeholders, more attention will be given to combating global climate change, energy and water conservation, waste recycling, and green transportation.
Since the last 5 years, UI GreenMetric has become one of the flagship programs of Universitas Indonesia that ranked universities throughout the world according to appointed indicators of campus environmental issues such as setting and infrastructure, energy, waste management, water, and transportation, and education. During the ranking process, many universities performance in UI GreenMetric have progressed, including the performance of Universitas Indonesia. In order to increase the performance of each university in UI GreenMetric, universities need to share their sustainability’s achievement and current condition in a forum.
This network also seeks to provide an opportunity for cooperation in sustainability management in campuses.
International Workshop on UI Greenmetric will be held on Margo Hotel Depok, Indonesia. A one day program will comprise keynotes, information sharing on sustainability through presentations from universities with best achievements in UI Greenmetric and discussions. The conference fees (excluding the airfare from and to Indonesia) are US$200.
