Dear University Leaders,

On behalf of Rector of Universitas Indonesia, I am pleased to announce that the 8th International (Virtual) Workshop on UI Greenmetric will be held online on 27-29 September 2022.  This 2022 workshop will be co-organized by the National Pingtung University of Science and Technology (NPUST)

The UI GreenMetric World University Rankings is an initiative of Universitas Indonesia which was launched in 2010. The aim of the rankings is to provide the result of an online survey regarding the current condition and policies related to Green Campus and Sustainability in the Universities all over the world. It is expected that by drawing the attention of university leaders and stakeholders, more attention will be given to combating global climate change, energy and water conservation, waste recycling, and green transportation.

For the past 12 years, UI GreenMetric has become one of the flagship programs of Universitas Indonesia that ranked universities throughout the world according to indicators of campus environmental issues such as setting and infrastructure, energy, waste management, water, and transportation, and education. During the rankings process, many universities’ performance in UI GreenMetric has improved. In order to increase the performance of each university in UI GreenMetric, universities need to share their sustainability’s achievement and current condition in a forum.

This network also seeks to provide an opportunity for cooperation in sustainability management on campuses.

The workshop itself will comprise of keynote speeches, presentations from universities which demonstrates excellent performances in 2021 rankings, and networking opportunities to meet and share your experiences in sustainability.
