Dr. Ricardo Rio
Mayor of Braga, Portugal

Ricardo Rio was born in November 1972. He was born in Braga and studied in Dublin College (elementary school), in the “Andre Soares” Middle School and in “Carlos Amarante” and “Alberto Sampaio” High Schools. He graduated in Economics at the Faculty of Economics of Porto, where he also completed the coursework of the MSc in Economics. He also completed the Advanced Course in Political Studies of the Institute of Political Studies at the Catholic University of Lisbon. Ricardo Rio received the 2021 “World Mayor Sustainability Award”, a worldwide distinction, awarded by the City Mayors Foundation, which recognizes the work carried out by mayors from around the world. Among European mayors, Ricardo Rio is one of the most passionate believers in sustainable development. He is determined to show that sustainability is not only compatible with economic growth but also a necessity to allow future generations to benefit from it. He was distinguished for the work carried out in compliance with the Sustainability Development Goals (SDGs) at local and regional level, within the scope of the European Union. In his essay for the World Mayor Project, Rio writes that sustainability growth is required to provide citizens with a good quality of life.

He is Minister of Education of the Russian Federation in 1998-2004. Vladimir is a President of the International Organizing Committee for the UNESCO World Conference on Higher Education from 2006-2009. He is a Chairman of UNESCO Steering Committee “Education for All”. Member of UNESCO Steering Committee “Education-2030”. He is author of over 250 research and methodical works, incl. 30 books, 2 of which have been translated and republished by the American Mathematical Society. Acad. of the Russ. Academy of Education

Prof. Banchong Mahaisavariya, M.D.
President, Mahidol University, Thailand

Prof. Banchong Mahaisavariya, M.D. is President of Mahidol University, Thailand. He completed his medical degree, internship and residency training in orthopaedic surgery at the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University in 1983. He then undertook a range of fellowships in Europe, Canada and Australia. He returned to his alma mater in 1993 as an associate professor and rose through various leadership roles to his current position. In addition to his academic and executive roles, he was a founding member of the Asian Association for Dynamic Osteosynthesis and serves as president of the Royal College of Orthopaedic Surgeons of Thailand

Prof. Dr. Nyayu Khodijah, S.Ag., M.Sc.,

Prof. Dr. Nyayu Khodijah, S.Ag., M.Sc., born in Palembang on August 25, 1970. Alumni of Doctor of Educational Technology at Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Since July 2020, he has been the Chancellor of Universitas Islam Negeri Raden Fatah Palembang (UINRFP). She has done a lot of scientific research, especially in South Sumatra’s education field. She has written many scientific and popular articles and reference books that are used as references in technology and educational psychology. She has frequently been a guest speaker at national and international workshops and scientific meetings.

Prof. Wan Jamaluddin, M.Ag., Ph.D.

Prof Wan Jamaluddin was born in Bandar Lampung, March 21, 1971. Currently he is 52 years old. At the undergraduate level he studied at IAIN Raden Intan Lampung, masters at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, and doctoral education at the Department of History of Middle and Near-East Cou, Russia, 2003. He is a professor or Professor of the History of Islamic Civilization. Currently he serves as rector at Raden Intan Lampung State Islamic University campus after he served as vice-chancellor for cooperation during his previous leadership period

Dr. Ujwala Chakradeo, born on 27 August 1962 obtained her B. Arch. from the VRCE, Nagpur. She obtained her M. Tech in Urban Planning and Ph. D. in Architecture Education from VNIT, Nagpur and started as a lecturer at the LAD College Nagpur in the year 1985. She obtained her M Tech in Urban Planning and Ph.D. in Architecture Education. She served as Professor and Principal of the Smt. Manoramabai Mundle College of Architecture.

Dr. Junaidi, S.S., M.A,
Vice-Chair of UI GreenMetric, Universitas Indonesia

Junaidi is a Vice-Chair of UI GreenMetric and a Linguistic and Cultural Studies Lecturer at the English Department, Faculty of Humanities, Universitas Indonesia (UI). He holds degrees from English Department, UI and Warwick University, UK. He was a Ph.D. in Linguistics at UI. Since 2015 he has been an expert member of UI GreenMetric and founder of UI GreenMetric Network in 2016. In 2021 he was the founder of the Indonesian International Student Mobility Awards, a new initiative of MoECRT to send undergraduate students to study one semester at top universities around the world.

Dr. Habib M. Fardoun
Executive Committee Member, IREG Observatory on Academic Ranking and Excellence

Professor Habib Fardoun is an Executive Committee Member of the IREG Observatory on Academic Ranking and Excellence. He has a Ph.D. in Model-Based Approach for the Development of Quality Higher Educational Environments (2011), a Master in Aptitude for Teaching (2008), and a Master’s in advanced computer technologies (2007), from the University of Castilla-La Mancha, Spain. With several years of experience in effective solutions for the improvement of universities rankings, Habib has diversified his work along many areas that are key factors in the improvement of the overall academic and research reputation, as building methodologies to identify the best effective international research collaboration, for quality publications. Habib gained experience in the creation of long/short-term strategic plans and management toward excellence.

Prof. Guilherme Pereira
Pro-Rector for Institutional Assessment and Special Projects, Universidade do Minho, Portugal

Prof. Guilherme A B Pereira was born in Porto in 1961. He is Associate Professor at the Industrial Engineering Department for the School of Engineering of the University of Minho since 2008. He completed the Degree in Industrial Engineering and Management in the University of Minho in 1984. He completed both his MSc on Operational Research in 1989 and his PhD in Manufacturing and Mechanical Engineering in 2000, in the University of Birmingham, UK. He began his career at the University of Minho in September 1984, as Junior Lecturer in the Production and Systems Department of the School of Engineering – where he had started as Teaching Assistant since 1983. He has been Vice-Dean of the School of Engineering of the University of Minho from 2013 to 2016. He was Pro-Rector for Institutional Assessment between 2016 and 2017. He has been Pro-Rector for Institutional Assessment and Special Projects since 2017.

Prof. Doutor Miguel Sopas de Melo Bandeira,

Prof. Doutor Miguel Sopas de Melo Bandeira is the Pro-Rector for Sustainability and Management of the University Campuses of Braga and Guimarães, University do Minho. He is a Senior Lecturer of the Department of Geography of the Institute of Social Sciences of the University of Minho. He holds a PhD in Human Geography from the University of Minho (2002); a master’s in human Geography, Faculty of Arts, University of Coimbra (1993); and a degree in Geography from the Faculty of Arts of the University of Porto (1982).

Prof. Ir. Ambariyanto, M.Sc., Ph.D.,

Dr. Ambariyanto is a Professor in the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science. He is the Vice Rector for International and Research Cooperation of Universitas Diponegoro. He holds a master’s degree in ocean science from the University of Wales and a PhD in marine ecology from the University of Sydney. He is active in the advocacy and development of national maritime policies. Being active in introducing Indonesian marine resource, ecosystem, and biodiversity in various academic and policy for a both nationally and globally, his projects include sustainable management of seagrass, mangrove and coral ecosystem

Prof. Dr. Julia Seixas,

Julia is Pro-rector for sustainability, NOVA University Lisbon since November 2021. She is a Associate Professor with Habilitation at NOVA University Lisbon, in the areas of Remote Sensing in Environment, and Energy and Climate Change. Coordinates the Energy & Climate group at CENSE research center, dedicated to R&D towards carbon neutrality: energy systems integrated modeling, new energy technologies, new policy instruments, sustainable cities, climate vulnerability and adaptation of energy systems. Member of the Scientific Committee of the UL-UNL Joint PhD Program on Climate Change and Sustainable Development Policies. More than 60 publications in international scientific journals. Coordinates studies to support the national public policy on climate mitigation for more than 20 years. Coordinates the Climate-KIC Hub Portugal since 2016. President of the Department of Environmental Sciences and Engineering since March 2017.

Prof. Dr. Amparo Casares Gallego, PhD
Vice-Rector for Infrastructure and Sustainability, University of A Coruña, Spain

She is an architect and has a PhD in Architecture from the University of A Coruña. She completed her training with stays at the Politecnico di Milano and as a scholarship holder at the Spanish Academy in Rome. She gave courses, lectures and masters in Italy, Romania, Poland, Slovenia, Germany and Santo Domingo, presented papers at seminars in Greece, Norway, Sweden and Spain. His research topics focus on sustainability in landscape and building design and on architecture and gender. She has supervised four doctoral theses. She received awards and mentions for her work as an architect.

Prof. Eng. Simona Tondelli, PhD

Prof. Eng. Simona Tondelli, PhD is a full professor of Urban and Regional Planning at the Department of Architecture of Unibo, she is currently deputy Rector of the Alma Mater. Her research interests focus on both global and local challenges, such as urban and rural sustainable planning and regeneration, environmental sustainability and nature-based solutions, sustainable mobility, affordable housing, social inclusion and citizenship, urban health, governance. She is the project coordinator of many Horizons and Interreg projects. She coordinates many regional/local third mission activities. She is the author of over 150 publications.

At international level, she has been an established figure in the field of Sustainable development evaluation for over 25 years. PhD Thalita dos Santos Dalbelo,

Thalita dos Santos Dalbelo is a Architect and Urban Designer, focused on sustainability. During her master’s degree in civil engineering, with an emphasis on Architecture and Construction, she researched sustainability in industrial buildings through ecology and industrial symbiosis. Broadening the scope of sustainability, she developed her doctoral thesis in urban autopoiesis, a process of interaction between urban systems that ensures resilience and resolves disturbances while maintaining the city’s identity. Currently, she coordinates the sustainability office of Unicamp.

Prof. Dr, Ir. Ellen Joan Kumaat, M.Sc. DEA,

Prof. Dr. Ir. Ellen Joan Kumaat, M.Sc., DEA., born on 9 July 1960 is an Indonesian Women’s Education Leader. She served as Rector of Sam Ratulangi University in 2014-2018 and 2018-2022. In the international, for example in France, she won an elite award from the French government, namely the Mahar Schutzenberger Prize. Another achievement as Chair of the Bandung Institute of Technology Alumni Association (IA-ITB) North Sulawesi Province for the 2011-2015 and 2016-2020 period. In 2019, she got the winner of the 2019 Indonesia Academic Leader Award.

Dr. Maria Kirrane
Representative of President, University College Cork, Ireland

Maria holds a BSc. in Environmental Science from UCC and a PhD in Ecology, which was undertaken between UCC and the United States Department of Agriculture in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Prior to taking on the role as Sustainability Officer, Maria worked as a programme manager for the Natural Environment Research Council in the UK, and then as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Limerick. The latter post explored the role of universities in driving the transition to a more sustainable society. As the Sustainability Officer for UCC, Maria is based within the Buildings and Estates department, but works with and across multiple offices and departments within the university.

Dr. Isaac Azuz- Adeath is Director of the Institute for Sustainability Studies. He is Scientific Research Coordinator at the Engineering College (2017-2023) and former Coordinator of the master’s degree Program in Environment and Sustainable Development (2006-2015). He is Mexican Official Delegate at the World Summit on Sustainable Development (Johannesburg, 2002), Mexican Official Delegate at the 4th World Water Forum (2006), former member of the National Council for the Sustainable Development of Mexico (Advisory body for the Ministry of Environment) and President of the Regional NW Council for Sustainable Development.

Prof. Dr. Klaus Helling

Prof. Dr. Klaus Helling, born 1964, is dean of the faculty of environment, business and law at the Environmental Campus of Birkenfeld (ECB). The ECB is the location of the University of Applied Sciences Trier. Since 1998 Helling has been a professor of environmental management and business administration. In 2001 he was one of the founders of the Institute of Material Flow Management (IfaS). His current research focuses on the implementation of the 17 Sustainable Developments Goals in companies and universities.

Roberto Battistini, Dr. Ing.

Dr. Ing. Roberto Battistini is the Alma Mater mobility manager at ATES – Technical, Constructions and Sustainability Division, and a PhD student in Civil, Chemical, Environmental and Materials Engineering. He is in charge as Mobility Manager for all University of Bologna campuses, his main field of job is MAAS and infrastructures for sustainable transportation. His research topics are sustainable mobility and infrastructures, relationship between urban shape and transportation and impact of mobility on environment and on sustainable tourism

Prof. Jaime Romero is taking his Doctorate in Civil Engineering at Politecnico di Milano. His areas of activities include social sciences, economy, business, civil engineering, technology, management, environmental and geological engineering, industrial biotechnology, bioproducts, and production engineering. Currently he is the Director of Environmental business management Master program at El Bosque University. He also has many experiences as member of the board of directors, member of the board of directors, board member of the Faculty of Engineering, tenured professor, jury in evaluation committees, and as consultant in technical production-Scientific and Technological Consulting and Technical Report.

Camille Kirk
Representative of Chancellor, Campus Sustainability Planner, University of California, Davis, United States of America

Camille Kirk is the Director of Sustainability and Campus Sustainability Planner, Camille Kirk leads the University of California, Davis Sustainability program, which maintains campus sustainability plans and initiatives that provide vision, direction and support for sustainability efforts across UC Davis. Beyond campus, Camille serves on a number of regional and national boards, steering committees, and task forces. She holds bachelor’s (UT Austin) and master’s (UCLA) degrees in geography.

Currently, she is also CEO at CETESB – Enviromental Company in the State of São Paulo. Lecturer in Brazil and abroad, has several published works, highlighting the book; Solid waste and post-consumer civil liability, “by Editora Revista dos Tribunais. Vice President for the Southeast Region of the Institute the Right for a Green Planet. Member of the Association of Teachers of Environmental Law of Brazil APRODAB. Member of CErSOL. Multidisciplinary Center for Studies on Solid Waste at USP. Member of the European Environmental Law Association. She was the Secretary of State for the Environment of São Paulo.

T. Serra Gorpe is a professor of communication at the University of Sharjah. She received her Ph.D. in Public Relations and Promotion from Istanbul University. She holds a master’s degree in public relations from Boston University, USA, and a master’s degree in social psychology from Bosphorus University, Turkey. She is the Co-Leader of the Sustainability curriculum and the newly initiated Sustainable Tourism Circle of University of Sharjah.

Dr. Massimiliano D’Innocenzo
Project Manager, University of L’Aquila, Italy

Massimiliano D’Innocenzo is a project manager at the University of L’Aquila. He also as a President of the Consortium for the Protection of Saffron of L’Aquila DOP. He manages university partnership projects, in particular Erasmus+ CBHE (Capacity Building Higher Education) projects. These include the PAWER, RENES and GREB projects with Central Asia, the Caucasus, Mongolia and Russia. He received Master “The New Digital Skills: Open Education, Social and Mobile Learning”, organized by the Educational Technologies Laboratory (LTE) of the Department of Education and Psychology (SCIFOPSI) of the University of Florence

Dr. Miguel Tasambay Salazar
Innovation Director, Escuela Superior Politécnica de Chimborazo, Ecuador

Miguel Tasambay Salazar is an Innovation Director at the Escuela Superior Politécnica de Chimborazo. He received his Ph.D in Climate, Energy and Risk Environmental from the University of Alcala. He holds a master’s degree in information technology applied from the Escuela Superior Politécnica de Chimborazo and a master’s degree in Climate, Energy and Risk Environmental from the University of Alcala. He is interested in the role of the ocean in climate variability: air-sea interactions, and teleconections. His research activities are about the influence of ENSO, tropical Atlantic and teleconnections on South America.

Tünde Kulcsár

Tünde Kulcsár is a program coordinator for the green university program at the University of Pécs. She received her degree from the Faculty of Economics and Faculty of Natural Science at the University of Pécs. T. Kulcsár also has experience as a unit manager, marketing manager and expert in public procurement.
