Dear University Leaders,

On behalf of Rector of Universitas Indonesia, I am pleased to announce that 5th International Workshop on UI Greenmetric which will be held in University College Cork in Cork, Ireland on 14-16 April 2019. This 2019 workshop will be co-organized by University College Cork.

The UI GreenMetric World University Rankings is an initiative of Universitas Indonesia which was launched in 2010. The aim of the rankings is to provide the result of an online survey regarding the current condition and policies related to Green Campus and Sustainability in the Universities all over the world. It is expected that by drawing the attention of university leaders and stakeholders, more attention will be given to combating global climate change, energy and water conservation, waste recycling, and green transportation.

For the past 9 years, UI GreenMetric has become one of the flagship programs of Universitas Indonesia that ranked universities throughout the world according to indicators of campus environmental issues such as setting and infrastructure, energy, waste management, water, and transportation, and education. During the rankings process, many universities performance in UI GreenMetric has improved. In order to increase the performance of each university in UI GreenMetric, universities need to share their sustainability’s achievement and current condition in a forum.

This network also seeks to provide an opportunity for cooperation in sustainability management in campuses.

International Workshop on UI GreenMetric will be held in University College Cork, Cork, Ireland. The workshop itself will comprise of keynote speeches, presentations from universities which demonstrates excellent performances in 2018 rankings, and networking opportunities to meet and share your experiences in sustainability.
