International Travel and Local Transportation:

Braga is in the northwestern part of Portugal. There are 3 international airports – Porto (50 km distant), Lisbon (350 km distant) and Faro (600 km distant).

 

From Porto airport:

By taxi: Taxis are readily available at the airport and offer a convenient and direct way to get to the University of Minho. The trip takes around 35-40 minutes and may cost around 40-50 euros.

 

By bus: You can take a bus from the airport to the University of Minho by first taking the “GetBus” shuttle from the airport to Braga bus station (https://www.getbus.eu/en/), and then taking bus number 43 to the “University of Minho” stop. The trip takes around 1.5 hours and may cost around 10 euros.

 

By train: You can take the metro from the airport to the “São Bento” train station (https://en.metrodoporto.pt/get), then take the train to Braga (https://www.cp.pt/passageiros/en) and then taking bus number 43 to the “University of Minho” stop (https://tub.pt/percurso/43/). The trip takes around 2 hours and may cost around 10 euros.
